PSY | 74% of our Business & Economic Psychology students receive a job offer right after their internship

Ready to figure out your next move?

If you’re finishing up your bachelor’s in psychology (or something similar) and asking yourself “Where do I go from here?”, you’re definitely not alone.

The job market is changing fast. AI, automation, and big shifts in how we work are creating new roles—and phasing out old ones. But here’s some great news: psychologists who understand the business world are more in demand than ever.

At the Faculty of Psychology of Sigmund Freud Private University (SFU) we’ve built a Master in Psychology with an Emphasis on Business and Economic Psychology (BEP) that helps you turn your passion for psychology into real-world impact—in companies, startups, consultancies, and beyond.

Here’s what makes this programme different (and yes, special):

  • It’s fully in English – perfect if you want to work in an international context or already think in multiple languages.
  • It connects psychology to today’s work world – you’ll study leadership, decision-making, organizational and team culture, consumer behaviour, coaching, and much more.
  • You’ll do an internship in leading corporations during your 3rd semester.
  • You’ll be ready for real roles – in HR, marketing, market research, corporate consulting, organisational development, and all the new jobs that didn’t even exist a few years ago.

And here’s the game-changer:

74% of our BEP students receive a job offer directly after their internship—even before completing the Master’s programme.

This isn’t just a good number—it’s an outstanding one. And yes, we’ve got the data to back it up.

Compared to other psychology tracks, BEP students have by far the strongest employment outcomes:

  • Only 8% of BEP students reported any uncertainty after their internship.
  • Our statistical analysis confirms that this is not just chance. The differences are highly significant (χ² = 298, p < .001) among the more than 600 internships with a contingency coefficient of 0.627, showing a strong relationship between students‘ chosen study emphasis – Business and Economic Psychology – and job offers.

In short: choosing Business & Economic Psychology at SFU sets you up for success in a rapidly evolving job market.

Why now? And why psychology in business?

If you’ve been paying attention to how fast the world of work is changing—hello robots, smart tech, remote work, and burnout—you already know that companies urgently need people who understand humans, not just numbers.

Reports from experts in business psychology and global employment trends confirm: we’re entering a time where emotional intelligence, purpose, collaboration, and mental wellbeing are central to sustainable business success.

And that’s exactly where business psychologists come in.

What our students say:

“I didn’t expect to land a job that fast. But everything we learned completely made sense once I got into the company – I was prepared for what they needed.” Leonie, Class of 2023

“I never thought I’d like market research, but now I’m working with a tech startup doing exactly that—using psychology to understand users. SFU really opened that door for me.” Maria, Class of 2022

Limited Spots – Apply by August 31st

We’ve still got a few study places open for the next intake. This Fall marks the 15th generation of students in our Business & Economic Psychology programme – and with every year, the programme grows stronger, bolder, and even more aligned with the future of work.

This could be your next step—not just another degree, but a career path that actually fits the world you’re walking into.
