Julia Struppe-Schanda’s fellowships included research stays in Sweden and Spain. At the Department of Sociology at Uppsala University, she worked closely with Prof. Stina Bergman Blix and Dr. Nina Törnqvist, experts in law and emotion. Her second stay took her to the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL) in Oñati, supported by a residence grant, where she engaged with an international community of scholars working at the intersection of emotions, law, society, and justice.

Emelie Rack completed her fellowship at the renowned Open University (UK), visiting the interdisciplinary Centre for Protecting Women Online, directed by Prof. Olga Jurasz. She contributed to the Centre’s Human Behaviour stream under the supervision of Prof. Rose Capdevila and Prof. Lisa Lazard, specialists in social psychology, social media, and gendered violence in digital spaces. A particular highlight of her stay was presenting at the Centre’s inaugural Women and Girls’ Online Safety Conference 2025, which brought together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to address current challenges to women’s safety in digital environments.
